What is Diamond Quest?

Diamond Quest is a single-player game mode in MLB The Show 25's Diamond Dynasty where you guide your team through a board game-style map, completing challenges to earn exclusive rewards.

You roll dice to move across a board with various tiles offering challenges, rewards, and obstacles. As you win challenges, you increase your chances of earning rare player cards at the end of your quest.

The mode has high-stakes gameplay - if you win the final stadium challenge, you earn all accumulated rewards. If you lose, you forfeit everything from that run and must start over.

Board Game Format

Navigate a game board with dice rolls, encountering various challenges, rewards, and obstacles along the way.

Risk vs. Reward

Push your luck for better rewards, but losing a stadium challenge means forfeiting all rewards from your run.

Exclusive Players

Earn special edition player cards that are only available through Diamond Quest mode.

Roguelike Elements

Each run is unique with random encounters, and you acquire perks to strengthen your team during each quest.

Offline Progression

A substantial single-player experience that offers top-tier rewards for Diamond Dynasty without requiring online play.

How to Play Diamond Quest

Step 1: Select a Quest Board

Choose a Quest from the Diamond Quest menu. Each quest has different exclusive rewards. The Tutorial Quest is recommended for beginners.

Step 2: Roll & Move Across the Board

Roll dice to move your team's icon across the board. You'll land on different types of tiles: Challenge tiles, Treasure tiles, Coach's Cart (shop), or Stadium tiles (boss battles).

Step 3: Complete Challenges

When you land on challenge tiles, you'll play brief baseball scenarios (like "get an RBI" or "strike out two batters"). Winning these challenges increases your reward percentage and often grants packs or perks.

Step 4: Avoid the Zone Sweeper

The Zone Sweeper is an enemy that moves in a set pattern on the board. If it catches you, you must play a difficult Legend-difficulty game. Losing to the Zone Sweeper causes you to lose all collected Peanuts and applies negative perks to your team.

Step 5: Spend Peanuts on Perks

Earn Peanuts by making highlight plays during games. Spend them at Coach's Cart tiles to buy perks that boost your team's abilities for the remainder of your quest.

Step 6: Win the Final Stadium Challenge

Your ultimate goal is to reach and defeat the final stadium on the board. This is typically a 3-inning game against a tough opponent. Win this game to complete your quest and earn all accumulated rewards. Lose, and you forfeit everything from that run.

Key Gameplay Elements

Dice Rolls

Move across the board by rolling dice. Higher rolls often yield better outcomes on tiles.

Challenge Tiles

Complete baseball scenarios (like moments) to increase your reward odds and earn packs or perks.

Stadium Challenges

Major boss battles where you play 3-inning games. Winning is necessary to progress; losing can end your run.

Zone Sweeper

An enemy that pursues you on the board. Getting caught forces a difficult Legend-difficulty game with penalties for losing.

Peanuts Currency

Earned from highlight plays during games, spent at Coach's Cart tiles to purchase perks and power-ups.
